DIYing your Wix Website
Are you building your own Wix website?
Here are some of the resources and links I often share with my clients to help get them started.
Logo and Branding
Branding isn't just about colours, fonts and a pretty logo, it's about how your brand shows up in the world. Who is your audience? How do you want them to see you? What do you want them to think of when they see you online?
If you haven't thought out your branding and logo, you'll want to have something in mind when it comes to building your website. You at least need some idea of colours, font style and if you have a logo you'll want it in an SVG format or various resolutions.
When picking your colour palette, you'll want to get the hex codes for the colours you like.

Colour palette generators like these can help you: https://coolors.co/ or https://www.canva.com/colors/color-palettes/

If you have Canva, you can also use the colour palette feature based on an image you like https://www.canva.com/colors/color-palette-generator/
-
Pinterest also has colour palette and style inspiration.

For fonts, there are a set suite of fonts already in Wix which are free for you to use for your website. You can use one of those, or upload your own. Any font file you upload must be licenced for you to use on web pages (this is usually more expensive or at least one tier up from the general commercial licence).

Google fonts are free for website use, and there is a wide range to choose from:

Website Content
After considering your overall marketing strategy and where your website fits in to that, you'll need to start thinking about what text and images you'd like to start off with on your site. This is not an area to get too hung up on, as you can (and will) makes changes through the site's lifetime.
